Name: | Raymond Lloyd |
---|
A brief history of not nearly everything:
1. Born on August 8, 1920.
2. Grew up on his parents' sheep farm outside of Melbourne.
3. Trained as an architect at the Melbourne Institute of Technology, against his parents' wishes.
4. Didn't go to war.
5. Spent the rest of his life apologising for steps 3 and 4.
6. Helped design parts of some crummy underwater city, starting in 1942.
7. Moved there once it was inhabitable.
8. Spliced.
9. Spent the rest of his life regretting steps 6 to 8.
An anxious guy who loves his work, and who tries to be all things to all men. He measures his worth by how much he contributes, and he values his contributions by how well they are received. He doesn't believe in pressuring people to be charitable. He is ridiculously polite.
He's got curly dark hair, and one of those unfortunate forties moustaches that seemed such a good idea at the time. He's always very well dressed, because what would people think if they saw him walking around looking like a slob?
Despite the 'tache, he has the heightened, unnatural good looks of a rich Rapture citizen. Cosmetic gene tonics are a staple of his diet. When everyone else looks godly, looking normal just won't cut it.
He's brave when it comes to actual danger, but not when it comes to people.
If it's the late 1950s, throw out that entire description and just assume he's a rotting wreck of a man aka every splicer ever.
Genetic inventory (depending on the timeline):
1. Telekinesis 1, rarely used. Pretty much for carrying things up ladders and so that he can say he has it.
2. EVE Link tonic - EVE from health stations! Fuckin' A.
3. ConfidencePlus tonic which is something I made up.
4. A handful of cosmetic tonics. "Dentasheen, for the whitest teeth you've seen." "Peachy Skin - does what it says on the tin!" "Adonilixir. Why stop at looking your best?"
5. More combat-oriented and random tonics -- whatever he could get his hands on, bonus if it'd help him survive the civil war.
6. Bees.
